• Optimise your workflow

We spend a significant part of the day at work. That is why it is so important that there is a positive feeling there. The principles of Feng Shui promote well-being in the office and teamwork.

What does Feng Shui have to do with an HR consultancy?

The Chinese theory of harmony has met with growing interest in Europe for a long time, and we, too, have dealt in detail with its teachings. The main question for us was: how can the aspects and principles of the various Feng Shui schools be applied to an office workspace?

Some may spontaneously associate the art of Feng Shui with a short-lived New Age movement. However, it is nothing less than an ancient and very concrete empirical science, which, due to its complexity, is often poorly understood and therefore implemented only patchily. Proof of this is the random placement of symbols of luck and prosperity or the rearrangement of furniture after a superficial location analysis. Serious advice dispenses with any mystification or promise of miracles.

You are probably asking yourself the following four questions in particular:

1. What does Feng Shui do for my company?

In times when there is a shortage of skilled workers, a company wants to position itself in the best possible way in order to attract the right employees and retain its workforce. An important topic in this context is not only the famous work-life balance, but also company health management including a work environment that promotes good health. How much influence our environment has on our motivation, creativity, performance and ability to concentrate is undisputed. The question is: how do you create an atmosphere that has a positive effect on employees' concentration and productivity? One possible answer to this is to carry out a Feng Shui analysis and implement the recommended actions.

2. What can I expect from a Feng Shui consultation?

An optimisation of the energy flow according to Feng Shui criteria is based on traditional, complex rules. First, external aspects such as the location of the building and its immediate surroundings as well as the surrounding landscape (geographical location) in general are considered. Then, favourable and unfavourable areas within the building / office are examined, with recommendations for appropriate measures to be taken. These also affect the arrangement of the conference tables and desks in the room.

3. As a customer, what do I have to do during a Feng Shui analysis?

Your advisor will visit you in advance at your workplace and, if necessary, ask you for a floor plan of the building. On the basis of this and their notes from the on-site inspection, they will present you with the result including recommendations for action in a follow-up appointment.
The summary is clearly understandable and comprehensible for the layperson. Whether and to what extent you implement the suggestions for improvement in the end is of course up to you.

4. What does a Feng Shui consultation cost?

The prices for consultations vary widely, and there is no general recommended price.
In our experience, a price per square metre of between € 15 and € 20 plus travel expenses is often set for the creation of an analysis including optimisation measures in the commercial sector.
But regardless of which consultant you choose: insist on a written offer including clear documentation and personal explanation of the result of the analysis.
